In so many of my public health classes, I’ve learned that mass incarceration is a public health crisis, but it’s often overlooked. I decided to get involved because it was an interesting and new (to me) field of research that could impact several communities. As someone who wants to work in public health, I was really motivated to work with communities that need it the most, as well as make strides to long-term solutions.
Fun Fact: I have so many plants !! My eldest plant is my 3-year old tradescantia nanouk and she’s 80 pounds!
Extracurriculars: Research at the UCLA Bixby Center in reproductive health
