As someone with family members impacted by incarceration, I found myself growing up curious about the prison industrial complex and how it impacts communities differently. I’ve become passionate about abolishing prisons and establishing equity for all individuals of all backgrounds, and believed that the lab not only aligned with these values but my other interests in community health and organization.
