Growing up in a community disproportionately affected by Mass Incarceration, I have always had a passion for both carceral and environmental justice. Lab culture is also incredibly important to me and the Carceral Ecologies Lab is unique in that it fosters a collaborative, supportive, and empathetic environment. This lab provides a space where we can both process challenging disparities while making humble strides toward accountability and justice.
